The Ataris!!!!
ini cerita tentang hari sabtu tanggal 10 oktober kemarin. Ya, hari itu adalah hari bersejarah buat saya karena saya berkesempatan untuk menyaksikan secara langsung band favorit saya sepanjang masa, The Ataris. Terdengar berlebihan memang, tapi begitulah kenyataannya. Penantian saya selama lebih kurang 8 tahun akhirnya menjadi kenyataan.
Masih segar dalam ingatan saya kala itu saya mendownload album² The Ataris (as a fan, surely I have and going to buy their original CDs), bawa hardisk ke kampus bareng Patrick, ngopi liriknya bareng Oghe, cover lagu² mereka bareng Hendra, Kukuh, Oghe, n Sigit. My college years is full of The Ataris. That band means alot to me. Tanpa bermaksud untuk sombong, saya hafal hampir semua lagu mereka (kecuali album welcome the night). Their songs are so emotional, the lyrics are very strong in the meaning, I can relate most of their songs.
Saya berangkat dari kantor bareng Taufik Fauzi, Are, Fahmi dan Endah. Tak sabar rasanya melihat wajah Kris Roe secara langsung. Sesampainya di venue, saya bertemu Rio, Oghe, Pandu, Ratih, Kukuh, Novi, dan yang lainnya. Baru masuk, Raygun lagi maen. Saya tidak terlalu tahu Raygun, jadi cuma menikmati musik seadanya sambil nge-tweet sesekali. Tak lama berselang Rocket Rockers vs Pee Wee Gaskins beraksi. Konsepnya battle gitu. Sebelum mulai mereka memainkan video profile mereka (walau agak scratch dikit). Jujur, tanpa memihak, sound dan performance Rocket Rockers lebih baik dari PWG, dan ini juga bukan berarti saya mengatakan kalau performance PWG jelek. Mungkin karena RR punay pengalaman manggung yang lebih banyak jadi Ucay dkk terlihat lebih enjoy di panggung.
Okay, berikutnya Lenka. Wow! She's gorgeous and talented! I adore her so much! Dia bisa memainkan hampir semua alat musik di panggung. Dengan suara yang bagus dan gaya menyanyi yang menawan, Lenka terlihat sempurna di atas panggung. Alefyuh Lenka hahaha LOL
And here comes The Ataris. Walau sound mereka buruk (sorry Kris, but I got to be honest), mungkin karena mereka gak bawa crew, tapi itu tidak mempengaruhi saya untuk bersingalong. I'm in full energy for it. Lagu² dari Blue Skies, End Is Forever, dan So Long Astoria dibawain, and I'm singalong in tears. I still can't believe what I see! Di lagu San Dimas I slow down a bit. That time, I realize that I lost my Nokia N70 cell phone. Thank God my wallet and my esia are still here with me. Cuma satu yang saya sayangkan banget, beberapa lagu baru OMK saya rekam di recorder ponsel itu. Lucky thief...

1. Pesenan barang gw dari ebay udah nyampe! woohoo! kaget juga pas nyampe di kantor tau² temen kantor gw bilang " nji, ada paket tuh, dari hongkong" wow!
gak cuma pesenan gw doang sih, pesenan ariska sama fuadi juga... how does it feels? senang riang gembira tak terkira! hihihi... ini pertama kali gw belanja² di ebay.. and you know what? sekarang gw lagi nunggu barang gw yang satu lagi nyampe :D...
2. Gw baru aja bikin 2 lagu bareng oghe di rumahnya... it's a good song, I guess hehe.. Menulis lagu selalu membawa perasaaan yang luar biasa buat gw..
3. Today, yes today! Gw mau ke margo city.. terakhir gw ke situ kapan yak? satu atau dua tahun yang lalu gw lupa... waktu itu One Man Karaoke manggung akustikan meramaikan acara opening laucnhing albumnya Hug Your Friend

One Man Karaoke Updates
okay, we're almost done. We're at the end of this first studio album journey. 12 songs that'll rip your ears with catchy tunes, the One Man Karaoke way! :)
In the middle of each band members business, we're still can spend our time recording @ diandra studio, cilandak. All instruments were done taken.. Probably one or two more sessions will be enough. Doakan kami ya teman² ;)
